RoyalHaskoningDHV
Royal HaskoningDHV partnered with Twentyseven, Norday, and Pointly to modernise its global web platform — replacing legacy technology with a composable, enterprise-grade content architecture built on Sitecore. The goal: faster publishing, stronger governance, and a future-proof foundation for growth across markets, languages and business units. In close collaboration with their digital and brand teams, we delivered a headless, component-based platform that balances editorial freedom with technical precision — and keeps up with a global leader in engineering and consultancy.

Royal HaskoningDHV is a globally operating engineering and project management consultancy based in the Netherlands, with over 140 years of history and more than 6,000 employees.
The real-world impact of their work is immense. But how do you turn that into a digital story that works just as well for brand, marketing and business?
Ideally, their professionals would tell that story themselves. But engineers aren’t sales people — and the old platform wasn’t helping. Together with branding partner Norday and CRM specialist Pointly, we took on this challenge head-on.
The core issues were structural:
Outdated CMS architecture, making it difficult to scale, integrate and iterate
Fragmented content workflows, slowing down editors and marketing teams
Performance limitations, especially across international markets and devices
To stay competitive — and to prepare for the future — Royal HaskoningDHV needed a modern, flexible digital foundation.
With a fully refreshed digital design by Norday and the implementation of Sitecore 10 Managed Cloud by Twentyseven, Royal HaskoningDHV now has a future-proof digital platform — both visually and technically. The new corporate website has become a central marketing platform, with a consistent brand experience across channels like LinkedIn, while still offering the flexibility to support sub-brands like Twinn.
This is not just a visual rebrand — it’s a strategic upgrade that supports global storytelling, content governance and personalised marketing. A scalable platform, built to grow with the organisation.

From optimisation to a new experience
The project started with a simple goal: improve digital performance. But after analysing the existing platform, it became clear that optimisation wasn’t enough. A full rebuild on the latest version of Sitecore was the right next step.
This became the moment to revisit the full customer journey, and translate those insights into a modern user experience — with new structures, content flows and performance goals.

“Working with Twentyseven has been a game-changer for our digital initiatives. From the outset, it’s not just their level of experience but their pragmatic approach that sets them apart from other agencies I’ve worked with. A warm and welcoming team — not just professionals, but great human beings. They bring structure, clarity and a real sense of energy to every project.”

Consistent brand, smarter structure
A core focus was creating a consistent and recognisable brand experience across the site — while also improving SEO, content relevance and navigation.
We designed a flexible component-based design system that allows all pages to be built with reusable building blocks. These components ensure consistency, reduce editorial complexity, and allow content to scale across regions and teams.

Automated social selling at scale
The collaboration between Twentyseven and Norday went beyond the platform itself. Together, we built a system that connects case content, subject matter experts and sector-specific leads — automatically.
Via an integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365, we build persona profiles and connect those to relevant content. A visitor’s interest is identified on the platform (MQL) and matched to an expert profile. The MQL is then approached via LinkedIn Sales Navigator, supported by highly relevant content.
This extends the user experience beyond the platform — and into the sales conversation.
Powered by Sitecore 10 Managed Cloud
The platform is now fully headless — with Sitecore acting as a central content hub in a broader digital ecosystem.
This setup gives the internal content team far more independence: they can manage and publish content across channels without constant support from IT. And because content is now decoupled from presentation, the platform is also multi-channel ready — future-proof for new channels, touchpoints and formats.
The result: a leaner, smarter buyer journey that supports personalised marketing and editorial agility.

Systematic, but flexible
The new design system doesn’t just power the main corporate brand — it’s built to flex. With just a few content and color adjustments, sub-brands can be launched under the same technical structure.
Twinn is a prime example: a sub-brand focused on simulation software and real-time monitoring. It lives under the Royal HaskoningDHV umbrella, but has its own voice and visual identity — enabled by a smart, scalable system.

“This project looks beyond the website itself, tying in recruitment and social selling in a smart, strategic way. The social selling results are impressive. While LinkedIn integration could go further, the foundations are excellent — a strong platform for future growth.” - Jury Report
